4 garlic buds
1 tsp salt
1 tbsp powdered cloves
1 tsp freshly ground black pepper
1 tsp caraway seeds
1 qt wine or wine vinegar
1 - Wash garlic, cruwh in 1 1/2 qt glass jar which has a tight fitting cover.
2 - Add salt, cloves, and pepper and mix.
3 - Add crushed seeds; mix well.
4 - Heat wine or wine vinegar almost to boiling and pour over mixture.
5 - Cover; let stand 1 week in cool place
6 - Strain.
7 - Pour into sterile bottles.
8 - Cork well.
Makes about 1 quart.
