Boiled Frosting (Light and Fluffy)
1 cp sugar
1/3 cp water
1 tsp vinegar
2 egg whites
3/4 tsp vanilla
1 - Boil togerher sugar, water and vinegar to 238 degrees F., or until syrup
spins a long thread when dropped from tip of spoon.
2 - Beat eggs stiff but not dry; gradually add syrup beating constantly, until frosting holds its shape.
3 - Add vanilla.
4 - Will frost2--8 inch layer cake.
