Corn Meal Rolls
2 cps scalded milk
1/2 cp sugar
1/2 cp lard or oil
1 tsp salt
1 cp corn meal
2 eggs, beaten
1/2 large yeast cake
1/2 cp lukewarm water
4 cps flour
1 - Add sugar, lard or oil, and salt to scalded milk.
2 - Add corn meal to this mixture.
3 - Cool until thick, stirring constantly.
4 - Cool to lukewarm.
5 - Add beaten eggs.
6 - Dissolve yeast cake in warm water and add to the mixture.
7 - Add flour, and mix until easy to handle.
8 - Divide dough into three equal pieces.
9 - Roll each piece into a circle 12 inches in diameter.
10 - Cut each circle into 12 pie shaped pieces.
11 - Roll up tightly beginning at the wide end.
12 - Seal points firmly.
13 - Place on greased cookie sheet.
14 - Brush with slightkly beaten egg white.
15 - Sprinkle withg sesame seeds or poppy seeds.
16 - Let rise until twice its size.
17 - Bake 20 minutes in a 375 degree oven.
