Round Raisin Nut Bread
2 cps raisins
2 cps water
2 tsp soda
1 1/2 cps sugar
dash of salt
1 1/2 tsp vanilla
3 cps sifted flour
1 cp chopped nuts
1 - Combine raisins, water and soda and bring to a boil.
2 - When mixture begins to foam, remove from heat.
3 - Cool, beat together eggs, sugar, salt and vanilla.
4 - Add the raisin mixture alternately with flour to egg mixture.
5 - Fold in nuts.
6 - Pour batter into 4 well greased and floured No. 2 cans and bake at 350 degrees F. until done.
7 - It takes about 1 hour to bake.
8 - You can put these in the freezer for holidays,
