Sugarless, Eggless, Milkless Ginger Cookies
2 cps light baking molasses
1 cp shortening, if lard 1 scant cp
1 ts salt
3 tsp soda
1 tbsp ginger
10 tbsp cold water
5 1/2 cps flour
1 - Add 5 cps flour to first 6 ingredients and place in refrigerator an hour or overnight.
2 - Use 1/2 cp flour on pastry board to pat cookies out to 1/4 inch.<(or roll in small balls)br> 3 - Sprinkle sugar over dough before cutting or ice after baking.
4 - Bake at 400 degrees F. for 12 minutes or until being pressed with thinger, cookies leave no mark.
5 - Very soft and delicious.
